Pentagon CDAO raises Scale AI enterprise agreement ceiling five-fold from $100M to $500M

The U.S. Department of War's Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office expanded its enterprise agreement with Scale AI, increasing the total potential value from $100 million to $500 million. Scale states the five-fold ceiling increase follows rapid uptake of its Production Other Transaction Authority (OTA) agreement, and gives any DoW component streamlined access to Scale platforms. IMPORTANT PRECISION: this is a contract CEILING increase, not an award of $500m in committed spend - Scale's own wording is "total potential value." Several outlets, including Bloomberg, characterised it as a $500m contract award.
